Public accountability measures help the government, ministries, institutions and agencies to deliver better services to the beneficiaries and the communities. As a process of NPM international donor agencies allocate financial aids to the government with the instruction for GO NGO partnership. NGOs are working with the government of Bangladesh in environmental management to ensure a safe and better environment for the country. The Bangladesh government has devised policies to ensure the NGOs accountability for Environmental Management. But, these NGOs have upward accountability to the donor agencies that deprives the beneficiaries. This book examines the public accountability and public value creation processes of the environmental NGOs of Bangladesh. The roles of government agencies, donor agencies and judiciary are also discussed.

Ziauddin Ahmed , a Senior Assistant Secretary of the Government of Bangladesh, is currently pursuing his Master of Public Policy & Management course at the University of Melbourne. He is an MBA and MDS. He did LLB and Bachelor of Engineering.He was elected as the President of the University of Melbourne Graduate Student Association for year 2011.
