In the radiation detection system, amplifier is needed from very begging to the end. The first stage in the signal processing chain is the pre-amplifier. This pre-amplifier is usually located as close as possible to the detector to avoid noise pick-up in cables. In the next stage there is the main amplifier. Therefore, amplifier is the most important parts of the nuclear radiation detection system. In this research work a scintillation amplifier has been designed to meet the various requirements in radiation measurement. There are five basic units, which constitute the scintillation amplifier. It is also concerned with the design and construction of scintillation amplifier incorporating the source buffer, pole zero cancellation circuit, a voltage amplifier, a base line restorer circuit and an emitter buffer to give output. To supply power to these circuits a ± 12 V dc stabilized power supply has been also designed.
