The goat, popularly called as poor man s cow plays a vital role in rural economy of Indian sub-continent. Among various reproductive techniques, oestrus synchronization is a highly useful reproductive managemental tool to augment fertility and fecundity in goats. This book, a part of MVSc thesis explores the possibilities of uses of FGA, MAP intra-vaginal sponges and CIDR device for the induction of oestrus and subsequent fertility after natural mating or A.I. with frozen semen in goats.
