This publication explores Disaster Risk Reduction Strategies and comparative role of Faith Based Organizations in the promotion of rural household food security. The comparison is made against the valuable work by the government Satellite Committees that offer similar services. Disasters are essentially the work of hazards that meet vulnerable conditions or status and further amplified by low or none existent capacity levels.
