Roger Willemsen - Doctor of Philosophy

Roger Willemsen (born August 15, 1955 in Bonn) is a German author, essayist and TV presenter.Willemsen was born and passed his Abitur in Bonn, Germany. He studied German philology/studies (Germanistik), philosophy and history of art in Bonn, Munich and Vienna and was awarded a scholarship by the "Evangelisches Studienwerk". He did his postgraduate studies on Robert Musil and received his Ph.D. Doctor of Philosophy, abbreviated as PhD, Ph.D., DPhil or D.Phil. (for the Latin philosophiae doctor or doctor philosophiae), in English-speaking countries, is a postgraduate academic degree awarded by universities. The academic level of degrees known as doctorates of philosophy varies considerably according to the country, institution and time period, from entry-level research degrees to higher doctorates.
