However, in modern times, due to certain factors of social change, increasing number of older people are living alone . The mode of care for aged parents is changing and subtly new concept of distance care or caring from a distance is emerging. The present book is an empirical research that looks into practicalities and modalities of distance care provided by the children to their elderly parents. Dr. Archana Kaushik is a faculty at the Department of Social Work, University of Delhi. She has authored many books on elderly and ageing issues. She has various research papers published in international and national journals of repute to her credit.
