The total weight of super structure was found to be very less for Composite Construction than in case of Reinforced Concrete Construction which will result in lighter footing for same number of stories in Composite Structure or in case of equivalent footing as for Reinforced Concrete Construction, more number of storeys can be added. Construction time in case of Composite Structure is very less as compared to construction time of Reinforced Concrete Construction which will result in appreciable saving in labour cost. As the composite structure is lighter than Reinforced Concrete Structure, its natural time period is also lesser than that of Reinforced Concrete Structure, therefore, Composite Structure is less critical in case of seismic loading.
