Plants can be used as therapeutic agent is an ancient thought. The use of medicinal plants as a source for relief from illness can be traced from early civilization in India. Therefore, the present study is aimed at investigating five plants namely, Aconitum napellus, Cassia tora, Embelia ribes, Alpinia galanga and Jujuba for their phytochemical screening and antimicrobial efficacy to prove to ethnomedicinal uses.
