The result of this study may be useful in providing adequate information, knowledge and better understanding with regard to the diverse portfolios of livelihood strategies and activities employed by many people to pursue the their secured and sustained survival. The finding of this study could serve as a source of information and knowledge to different stakeholders at different levels with respect to the rural livelihood diversification. This book is organized in to six chapters. Chapter one briefly introduces about the background of the study. Chapter two discusses the literature review (theoretical and empirical literature). Chapter three describes the methodology of the research. Chapter four is about the description of the study area. Chapter five discusses the results and discussion of the study. Chapter six summarizes the major findings of the study and the policy implications.

About the author










The author has an MA in Regional and Local Development Studies from Addis Ababa University in 2008. His professional interest area is Research, Training, Developing/Designing and Managing (Project Cycle Management: Project Designing/Preparation, Planning, Implementation, Monitoring and Evaluation) of Livelihoods related programs/projects.
