Please note that the content of this book primarily consists of articles available from Wikipedia or other free sources online. Latest news 2012 from the United Kingdom: the famous online bookseller Amazon, has been accused of working the United Kingdom tax system and charging publishers 20% VAT on digital books while they are paying only 3% ! Notably, the online retailer moved its European headquarters to Luxembourg in 2006. This eventually means that the latter pays only 3% VAT on digital books sold to British readers. The difference sees the company make an extra Pds. 1.38 of profit every time it sells a Pds. 10 ebook in this country . To put it bluntly, Luxembourg has this low VAT level to make publishing more accessible. However, Amazon seems to be exploiting this!
