English · Paperback / Softback

Description

Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) means running a business in a way that does not go against the social and environmental impact created by the business. Earlier, CSR was focused on philanthropic philosophy. Nowadays, CSR has become a broad commitment to protecting and improving the lives of employees and the people in the society in which companies operate business. Companies are presently questioned by stockholders, customers, employees, investors, activists and all groups of publics to prepare an early plan or courses of action on how they will sustain economic development while looking after their employees as well as the environment. However, in this research monograph, the researchers have tried to describe CSR practice followed by three giant companies in the UK, e.g., Marks & Spencer, Nike and Vodafone along with examples of some companies in Bangladesh such as Daffodil International University.
