Acoustic method is popular for non-destructive testing of materials. Testing of different materials using acoustics is already in use. It has been also tried for biological materials such as seeds. But no standard acoustic apparatus for testing seeds has been endeavored. This book showed acoustic parameters determination of some common cereal and oil seeds using standard apparatus (impedance tube). Data from impedance tube were used to form acoustic spectra. The spectra were analyzed using multivariate statistics. The book also covers basics of acoustics and acoustic parameters related to seeds. It would be useful for people working with acoustic properties of seeds and for those who are interested in analyzing acoustic spectrum with multivariate statistics.
