Biological control of Culex mosquitoes (Larvae) in Pakistan

The present study was conducted to evaluate the efficacy of Relief T, Bti and turpentine oil under laboratory conditions. The Biopesticides show good results in controlling mosquitoes.It can be helpful in controlling population of mosquitoes in breeding places and can be adopted as safe measure to control mosquitoes as resistance is main issue by using insecticides. So, by using biocides, we not only can control mosquitoes but safe the environment also.

Ms. Khush Bakhat Samreen has done BS (Zoology) from Lahore College for Women University, Lahore. Her specific area of research is control of mosquito larvae through essential oils.
