About the author
Dr. Ali Shamsavari was educated at the National University of Iran (BA Economics) and Vanderbilt University (U.S.A.), where he obtained MA and Ph.D. degrees in Economics. He has held numerous teaching, research or consultancy positions in the U.S.A., Iran, Brazil and the U.K. At present he is a senior lecturer at Kingston University.
