About the author

Der Freiburger Musiker und Arzt Andreas Otte studierte und promovierte im Fach Humanmedizin an der Albert-Ludwigs-Universität Freiburg und spezialisierte sich 1999 zum Facharzt für Nuklearmedizin. Er ist gleichzeitig Gitarrist und Gewinner zahlreicher Musikwettbewerbe. Nach der Facharztweiterbildung war Otte über viele Jahre hinweg in leitenden Positionen der klinischen Forschung tätig; darüber hinaus war er 2002 - 2009 Visiting Professor an der Medizinischen Fakultät der Universität Gent in Belgien. Seit 2010 ist Andreas Otte Professor für Biomedizinische Systemtechnik im Studiengang Medizintechnik an der Hochschule Offenburg.§Von Andreas Otte sind zahlreiche medizinisch-wissenschaftliche Bücher und Aufsätze - darunter auch musikermedizinische - veröffentlicht sowie einige seiner neoromantischen Kompositionen für Gitarre solo.
