Informationen zum Autor Donald "Lofty" Large was born in 1930 and joined the Army as a boy. He fought in Korea and spent two years in a prison-of-war-camp. After his release and rehabilitation, he joined the SAS and went on to serve in various conflicts around the world, from Malaya to Oman, from Aden to Indonesia. After his retirement, Large wrote two books about his Army career, preceding such authors as Andy McNab and Chris Ryan. He died in 2006.
