About the author










Joseph Isaac Abrahams, MD, is a distinguished fellow of the American Psychiatric Association and a former associate clinical professor of psychiatry at the University of California at San Diego. His 70-year career includes pioneering work in group therapy and psychoanalysis with the severe disorders, occurring in both forensic institutions and in a flourishing private practice. He has written books on grassroots politics, the psycho-spiritual phenomenon of messianism, as well as an autobiographical work conveyed in his dreams and poems.
