The Hemshin Peoples or Hemshinli are a diverse group of people who in the past history or present have been affiliated with the Hem in district in the province of Rize, Turkey. They are called (and call themselves) as Hemshinli, Hamshenis, Homshentsi meaning resident of Hemshin (historically Hamshen) in the relevant language. The term "the Hemshin" is used also in some publications to refer to Hemshinli.
