Dominique Evrard ist ein Reisender, dessen Atelier die Welt ist. An verlassenen und vergessenen Orten wartet er darauf, dass das Licht die Spuren sichtbar macht, die der Mensch dort hinterlassen hat. Indem er sie ans Licht bringt findet er sich selbst darin. Dominique Evrard is a traveller for whom the world is his workshop. He waits in forgotten and abandonned places for the light to reveal the traces that man has left behind. In uncovering them, he finds himself. His landscapes are fragments of nature which forsakes its roots to stimulate our memory; an architecture which, once lit, portrays time and duration. About the author
Dominique Evrard is born 1950 in Lille. After directing a number of ethnographical films between 1970 and 1980, Evrard decided to concentrate on his own photographic work. Sine 1998, he has collaborated with the "La Vie des Formes" association, an international centre for experimental art that welcomes artists from all disciplines.
