Informationen zum Autor Lukas Erne is Professor of English Literature at the University of Geneva. He is author of Shakespeare as Literary Dramatist (Cambridge, 2003). He has taught at Lady Margaret Hall, Oxford, at the University of Neuchâtel and, as Visiting Professor, at Yale University. Zusammenfassung Suggests that textual mediators have a positive rather than negative role and that they are collaborators who can shape and enable our response to Shakespeare's plays. This book argues that these edited versions of Shakespeare's work determines what Shakespeare may actually have intended and written.
