Informationen zum Autor Lucy Maud Montgomery, known as L. M. Montgomery, was born on November 30, 1874, in New London, Canada. She was a prolific Canadian author, famous for creating the beloved Anne of Green Gables series, first published in 1908. Throughout her career, Montgomery wrote 20 novels, 530 short stories, 500 poems, and 30 essays, establishing herself as a prominent figure in Canadian literature. Her work often explores themes of nature, the complexities of human relationships, and the struggles faced by women in society. Montgomery's writing style is characterized by its charm, warmth, and insightful character development, which resonated with readers worldwide. She married Ewen Macdonald in 1911, with whom she had three children: Chester, Stuart, and Hugh. Her parents were Clara Woolner Macneill Montgomery and Hugh John Montgomery. Montgomery lived much of her life in Prince Edward Island, and her writing continues to influence literature and popular culture today.
