GRAEME HARPER is Director of the National Institute for Excellence in the Creative Industries at Bangor University. He is Chair of the National Association of Writers in Eduction (NAWE) and Editor of New Writing: The International Journal for the Practice and Theory of Creative Writing. He is series editor of Palgrave Macmillan's Appoaches to Writing series and has edited Teaching Creative Writing and Creative Writing Studies. Awarded the first doctorate in creative writing awarded in Australia, he holds a second doctorate in creative and critical writing from the University of East Anglia
