Susan Muaddi Darraj is associate professor of English at Hartford Community College and a lecturer at Johns Hopkins University. She edited Scheherazade's Legacy: Arab and Arab American Women on Writing . She is the author of a short fiction collection, The Inheritance of Exile . He was awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1988, and since then his work has been increasingly studied in North American university classrooms.
