Plain Stories and Other Parables

"Plain Stories" is a series of short stories set in the fictional town of Plain, Ohio. The stories attempt to teach and inspire the reader to a higher level of Christian living and understanding. Included in the book are numerous other "story sermons" including a series titled the Kristoff Yerushaliim stories. This second series focuses on a Christ-like character in modern times. The reader will be drawn into his life and see what the world would be like if Jesus were physically alive in our society today. Schafer has been telling stories to his congregation for more than a decade and has mastered the story tellers ability to captivate the listener/reader.

About the author

Steven Schafer holds a PhD and MTh in Theological Ethics from the University of Aberdeen and an MDiv from George W. Truett Theological Seminary.
