Comme il vous plaira

C'est en 1599 que Shakespeare écrit cette comédie
pastorale et gaiement romanesque : une pièce
à prendre pour le plaisir, «comme il vous plaira».
Mais après la composition de ses sonnets,
et avant l'écriture des grandes tragédies,
ce n'est pas une pièce que l'on puisse isoler.
Réflexion sur l'amour et la condition féminine,
elle nous montre, écrit Yves Bonnefoy,
qu'«un Shakespeare n'est jamais en repos» :
«La facilité même, quand elle semble régner
dans son écriture, c'est aussi et peut-être d'abord
ce qu'il emploie à un projet plus sérieux,
et qui vient de loin et qui va loin.»
