About the author










Mary Berg lectures locally on Norman churches in Kent and is a member of the Ancient Monuments Society and the British Archaeological Association and is on the board of the Kent Archaeological Society. She lives in Canterbury. Howard Jones is a consultant on listed buildings and has extensive archaeological experience. He has been a consultant architectural archaeologist on sites such as Salisbury Cathedral and Windsor Castle and is a member of the Royal Institute of British Architects and the Institute of Historic Building Conservation.
