Informationen zum Autor Christopher Smith is Director of the British School at Rome and Professor of Ancient History at the University of St Andrews. He is a Fellow of the Society of Antiquaries of Scotland, the Royal Historical Society and the Society of Antiquaries of London. He has written two volumes on early Rome, Early Rome and Latium: Economy and Society, c.1000 to 500 BC (1996) and The Roman Clan: The Gens from Ancient Ideology to Modern Anthropology (Cambridge University Press, 2006), and has edited seven volumes on subjects ranging from ancient Sicily to Roman religion.
