Stan Wolf wurde 1950 in Passau geboren. Die ersten Lebensjahre verbrachte er auf einem Bauernhof in Deutschland. Seine Schulzeit und die Ausbildung zum Stahlbautechniker absolvierte er in Salzburg, wo er nunmehr seit über dreißig Jahren ein kleines Unternehmen betreibt. Stan Wolf ist verheiratet und hat zwei Töchter. Seine Hobbys sind die Fliegerei und versunkene Kulturen. Seine Vorliebe für die Wüste führte ihn schließlich nach Ägypten, wo er mehrmals im Jahr auf entlegenen Pfaden den Spuren der Pharaonen folgt.
