Numerous books, both factual and fictional, have been written on the subject. German resistance to Hitler has also been depicted on film, most notably by James Mason in The Desert Fox and more recently by Tom Cruise in Valkyrie, an accurate and acclaimed version of the July 20 Plot.An in-depth analysis of Operation Valkyrie - the plot to kill Hitler.
