About the author

Joao De Macedo competed on the National and European Professional Circuit. He surfed and competed e.g. at Pipeline in Hawaii. Joao finished his degree in economics in 2000 and founded the Lisbon based surf school Praia Grande Surf Academy. He obtained his coaching credentials in Australia and worked as a National Coach in 2002 and 2004
