Three of the manuscripts were found in the following Cambridge Libraries: Selwyn College, Corpus Christi, and the University Library. The other two were found in the Bodleian Library, Oxford and the private collection of the Earl of Leicester at Holkham Hall, Norfolk. A detailed critical introduction is also included, with notes on the manuscript sources, language and translation. Extensive textual notes are incorporated throughout.
