He has also held appointments as a Research Professor at George Washington University and Visiting Professor at the University d'Aix-Marseille II, France, and the National University of Singapore. He is a Charted Mathematician, a Fellow of the Institute of Mathematics and its Applications, a Fellow of the International Institute of Acoustics and Vibration, and a Fellow of the Institute of Acoustics.
