Over the last few year, the implementation of the Grade 1-9 Curriculum has impacted traditional teaching methods and curriculum structure in education system in Taiwan. In experiencing change, it is inevitable schools and teachers will confront predicaments and difficulties. In order to understand the present situation and explore any difficulties associated with the educational reform in Taiwan. The author took one of the subjects, Integrative Activities, as an example to inspect the educational change in Taiwan. This book is going to examine related planning and implementation issues involved in the Learning Area of Integrative Activities and school-based curriculum development. The analysis should help shed some light on the present and future educational reform and development of curriculum. This book can also be provided as a useful reference for policy consideration for the Ministry of Education and school administrators.
