About the author

Roger Ellsbury is currently a full-time Associate Professor at Goodwin College in East Hartford, Connecticut where he has been teaching Math, English, and computer courses for seven years and is Evening Supervisor at Stone Academy in Waterbury, Connecticut. Prior to that, he taught public school for twenty-five years and was also Senior Facilitator for the Academy of Learning in Waterbury, Connecticut, teaching end-user software to adults. He was instructor of Integrated Computer Technology at Stone Academy in Waterbury, where he taught Mathematics for Science and Technology along with various courses in computer technology. Later he taught Medical Terminology, Medical Law and Ethics, Professional Development, Business Communications, English Fundamentals, and Communication Skills for Healthcare Professionals. While at Stone Academy, he was promoted to the position of Evening Supervisor, which he currently holds, and is responsible for the staff, faculty, and students in the evening programs. Mr. Ellsbury has also conducted in-service training sessions in computer software for the staff and faculty.
Roger Ellsbury earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree and a Master of Arts Degree at the University of Connecticut and a Certificate of Advanced Graduate Study (CAGS) in Special Education at Saint Joseph College in West Hartford, Connecticut. Mr. Ellsbury also holds certifications in A+, Network+, and Microsoft Office User Specialist (Master Level) and has also received a Diploma from the Academy of Learning in Computer Software Applications.
