Giacometti (1901-1966), Kunststudium an der École des Beaux-Arts und an der École des Arts Industrielles in Genf, 1922 in Paris an der Académie de la Grande Chaumière. 1932 erste Einzelausstellung. 194245 in Genf. Ende 1945 Rückkehr nach Paris. 1962 grosser Skulpturenpreis der Biennale in Venedig.

Markus Brüderlin, geboren 1958, studierte Kunstgeschichte, Kunstpädagogik und Germanistik. Er ist Kurator der Fondation Beyeler in Riehen/Basel. Mit dem Thema Ornament und abstrakte Kunst beschäftigte er sich bereits in seiner Dissertation.
