était essentiel, pour Akiko, de donner vie à ses
images en trouvant et en maîtrisant des procédés
qui puissent les situer d'emblée à la place
qui leur revenait par leur nature."

layers of time rather than just capturing fleeting
photographic moments. Their composition,
though meticulously considered within a formal
picture plane, hinted at a whole world of otherness
swirling chaotically beyond their borders.
For Akiko it was essential to bring her images
to life by locating and harnessing mediums
that could take her images directly to the place
where they naturally belonged."
