When Cape Cod innkeeper Maddy Jamison takes in a group of marine biologists called Dolphin Friendly, she has no idea that they--and particularly their handsome leader Brody Davenport--will turn her life upside down. Ever since the deaths of her marine scientist parents, Maddy has hated the ocean that took them away from her, just as she has resented the profession that they loved more than their children. So how could she guess that she'd enjoy sharing her house with a self-destructive catfish named Dusty, a pair of interns obsessed with Latin names, and a bickering couple? And how could she predict that she'd fall for their leader, a man who loves the sea as much as she hates it?
But as she and Brody grow closer, the question remains: Will they be able to find a compromise between land and sea, or will their love sink beneath the weight of their differences?
About the author
At some point during her childhood, Jessica Andersen figured out that keeping a dolphin in her bathtub was impractical, so she badgered her parents for a pony instead. In the years since, she's received her Ph.D. in Genetics, her patent agent's registration, her credentials as a professional horse trainer and riding coach, and recognition as an author of romantic fiction...but her fascination with marine mammals has never faded. Some of this novel comes from her years of volunteering in stranding rescue and marine mammal care. The rest comes from her heart, and she hopes it touches yours.
