Ray Jones is the author of The Lighthouse Encyclopedia and more than thirty books about lighthouses, American history, and life in the 21st century. Having written and edited for PBS, Time Life, Southern Living Magazine, and several major publishing houses, he currently lives in Pebble Beach, California where he works as a contract writer and publishing consultant.
