Some believe that learning about God is like looking for something inside the refrigerator—the air is cool and you can never find what you’re looking for. Or perhaps the word boring best describes your experience of studying theology?

Go Deeper invites you to explore your relationship with God by placing yourself into the biblical narratives. By doing so, readers will encounter the God who passionately pursues us with His sovereignty, holiness, presence, grace, and love. The result: we are transformed in the process.

- BRETT HILLIARD, Lead Pastor; Island ECC (Evangelical Community Church), Hong Kong
“A very helpful book, packed with accessible wisdom. The focus on 'Story Theology' enables Ken to move helpfully between asking questions of the narratives to the narrative asking questions of the reader. His focus throughout is on spiritual formation through real experiences of God. As someone who works with Christians in recovery, I can clearly see how this would ground them in their understanding of the nature of God, in their understanding of the Bible, and being able to relate to what they read to real life situations.”
- STUART LEITCH, Former Pastor of Alma Church, Bristol, UK; presently working in Christian Addiction Recovery through Crisis Centre Ministries and the Life Recovery Group, Bristol, UK
“As I read Go Deeper, I was first captivated by the term 'story theology'. Ken's writing style is engaging and it kept me motivated as he traced some of the familiar stories of Scripture. This book brings new insights into the stories we love and challenges us to go deeper in applying these timeless truths in our own life. Great read!”
- RON EDMONDSON, Lead Pastor of Emmanuel Baptist Church, Lexington, Kentucky
Go Deeper richly reveals God’s character as He is revealed in the Scriptures. Ken Jung makes the familiar stories of the Bible come alive and more appealing with easy-to-understand presentations on God’s attributes. In this book we discover how God relates to us in different ways and situations in life. It’s essential in life and ministry to go deep in our theology. Go Deeper will serve as a valuable resource for personal spiritual growth and development, small group ministry, and sermon preparation.
- REV. PRISCO M. ALLOCOD, President of the Evangelical Free Church of the Philippines
“Ken Jung's book Go Deeper skillfully uses the Scriptures and points the reader to the major theme of the Bible, the glorious person of God. To read the stories of the Bible and to miss the God behind the stories is to misread the Bible.”
- DR. BILL THRASHER, Professor; Moody Theological Seminary
“If you want to truly connect other people, you must relate to them at a heart level, at the level of feelings, fears, frustrations, joys, hopes, and aspirations. This is the stuff of stories. Go Deeper shows how to mine these priceless elements from both Scripture and real life...and in the process to enjoy deep and exhilarating relationships with both God and the people around you.”
- KEN SANDE, Founder of Peacemaker Ministries and Relational Wisdom 360
“Dr. Jung's work in this volume is both outstanding and remarkable! I enjoyed reading every word of Go Deeper because his storytelling style made Biblical truth come alive and he made it relevant and applicable in my personal life as well as my professional practice. He has succeeded in somehow making these profound relational truths simple and fun to read. I recommend this to all believers as well as seekers!”
- MELVIN WAIHONG WONG, Ph.D. California Licensed Psychologist; former Professor of Psychiatry and former Director of the Pastoral Counseling Program, Hong Kong Baptist Theological Seminary
“This is what we long for…to Go Deeper with God. It’s what we long for those we are discipling…for them to Go Deeper with God. Pastor Ken Jung has blessed us with a highly usable, practical tool that challenges us all to grow in the depth of our walk with God as we come to know God through His amazing attributes. Let me urge you strongly to dive in and go deep!”
- RON KING, Lead Pastor of Bridges Community Church, Fremont, California
“Every life tells a story and the LORD has chosen to reveal Himself in His Scriptures through lives! Ken Jung draws out these pictures nicely – scripturally saturated, delightfully devotional and wonderfully contemporary – have fun going deeper to know Him!”
- REV CHUA CHUNG KAI, Chairman of the Evangelical Free Church of Singapore
“Story theology is a compelling, engaging way to encounter the Bible and all of its interactions. This is especially useful for new believers who don’t have in-depth knowledge of the Bible or spiritual maturity. Go Deeper, by Ken Jung, is an excellent resource and teaching tool. It’s evident that Ken has spent countless hours researching and creating this book. I believe this is a very effective way to introduce new believers (and even those who haven’t yet made a decision to follow Christ) to the infallible truths found in God’s Word.”
- JAMES STEINER, CEO of Men's Ministry Catalyst
“Every person has a story and making sense of that story requires one to connect with the account of God's gracious work in this world. Ken Jung offers a refreshing look at God's character and challenges each reader to let Scripture form one's life. This book reflects his passion for individuals to Go Deeper in relationship with the living God!”
- DAVID M. JONES, JR., Lead Pastor of Bethel Grove Bible Church, Ithaca, NY
