About the author

HAVI CAREL is Senior Lecturer and Research Fellow in the Department of Philosophy at the University of Bristol. She is co-editor of 'Health, Illness and Disease' (Acumen, 2012), amongst other works. She continues to live with the rare and potentially fatal lung disease, Lymphangioleiomyomatosis (LAM).
