Informationen zum Autor Jeremy Strong writes books for children, mainly of junior school age, and has a special interest in children who are becoming independent readers and those not particularly interested in reading. All of his books are humorous and about real life situations with a surreal edge. He was born in 1949 in South East London and studied English at York University, after which he became a teacher and Head teacher, leaving the profession in 1991 to write full-time. Scoular Anderson lives in a house in Argyll, Scotland. He spends lots of time looking at the passing ships rather than getting on with his work. The cat and the dog often come to sleep in his studio because it's the warmest room in the house. Scoular likes writing books which are funny or make the reader learn something. He has written and illustrated about 80 books. He likes drawing dogs and castles but is not too keen on bicycles because they stick out at strange angles.
