A few miles from the Bay of Authie in the department of the Somme, the gardens of Valloires
offer a subtle mix of orderly spaces and natural areas. Designed about 30 years ago by
landscape architect Gilles Clément, they gather together an incredible collection of plants in
a composition with several different atmospheres and themes, revealed anew as the months
go by. At Valloires, botany and aesthetics are united.
