're.act.feminism #2 - a performing archive'is a multi-annual performance and exhibitionproject travelling through Europesince 2011. It will now be presentedin Berlin. The core of the exhibition isa mobile archive that contains morethan 250 videos, photographs andother documents of gender-orientated,feminist and queer performance art. Thistransnational and cross-generationalproject includes works from the 1960suntil the early 1980s and recent yearsfrom Eastern and Western Europe, theMediterranean and the Middle East,the USA and several Latin Americancountries.With essays including Bettina Knaup onthe project 're.act.feminism #2', RebeccaSchneider on 'Three Artists Walk in theMuseum', Matthias Danbold 'ArrestingPerformances', Laurence Rassel & LindaValdes 're.act.feminism at the FundacioAntoni Tapies', plus descriptions ofthe scientific research by EleonoraFabiao (Latin American countries),Kathrin Becker on the MENASA regionand Angelika Richter on the femaleperformance artists in the GDR.
