About the author
R. Lee Smith is an associate professor in special education at Indiana University-South Bend. In the last 30 years, he has served as an associate dean, public school administrator, teacher, and teacher's aide in public education.
Denise Skarbek is a professor of education in the School of Education and Social Services at Saint Leo University in Saint Leo, FL. Her publications and research interests include special education and teacher education, particularly in the areas of reflection, youth violence, technology, and sexual abuse.
