Here are the finest, funniest, rudest and wisest sayings of the miniature Machiavelli; the dwarf with a brain the size of a planet and a heart of (tarnished) gold ... ''Sleep is good. Books are better'' Drawn from George R.R. Martin''s bestselling A Song of Ice and Fire books, the basis for the HBO original series Game of Thrones. Illustrations are by artist and caricaturist Jonty Clark.

Report

'Mr. Martin is a literary dervish, bursting with the wild vision of the very best tale tellers. And Tyrion is his grandest creation' New York Times
'I love Tyrion Lannister. He's a baller and a drinker but he's also dry, cynical, jaded. An atheist and an aesthete. I'm telling you about him because I think you will love him too, and I want to not be the only person in my social circle who has a poster of him on the wall in their kitchen' Caitlin Moran
Praise for A Song of Ice and Fire:
'The sheer mind-boggling scope of this epic has sent other fantasy writers away shaking their heads ...Its ambition: to construct the Twelve Caesars of fantasy fiction, with characters so venomous they could eat the Borgias'
Guardian
