Jugendgewaltdelikte sind als Phänomene im städtischen Raum sehr ungleich verteilt. Auch die Herkunftsorte der Täter konzentrieren sich in spezifischen städtischen Arealen. Welchen Einfluss üben die verschiedenen großstädtischen Quartiere hierbei aus? Gibt es Zusammenhänge zwischen Architektur und Städtischer Entwicklung und Planung und dem Gewaltphänomen im Jugendalter? Mit Hilfe eines typologischen Konzeptes werden die Zusammenhänge von städtischen Strukturen und jeweils spezifischen Auswirkungen auf jugendliche Lebenslagen und entsprechende jugendkulturelle Erscheinungsformen untersucht und erklärt. Außerdem werden Strategien und Ansätze im Umgang mit Gewalt auf ihre Relevanz und Wirksamkeit in den jeweiligen städtischen Strukturtypen betrachtet. Dabei werden die stadtstrukturellen Unterschiede mit jeweils spezifischen methodischen Ansätzen im Gewaltumgang in Verbindung gestellt.
