About the author










Jan Hasselberg works as a secondary school teacher in Bergen, Norway, where he teaches history, geography, English, and music. He has written articles and a couple of dramas, but this is his first major publication. Some of his photographs have appeared in other publications, and many are frequently viewed on the Flickr and Panoramio/Google Earth websites. He has a master's degree in history and a Teachers College degree. Jan was born and raised in Sweden but has lived his adult life in Bergen. He has three daughters. Family in Northern Queensland brought him in touch with Papua New Guinea where he has traveled several times. He has been a regular visitor to Tufi since 2005.
