About the author

Andreas Mayer is a research scholar at the Max Planck Institute for the History of Science in Berlin. He is coauthor (with Lydia Marinelli) of "Dreaming By the Book: A History of Freud's 'The Interpretation of Dreams' and the Psychoanalytic Movement." Christopher Barber studied music and history at the State University of New York and history at the University of Vienna. His recent translations include "Freud Verbatim" and "The Secession Talks."
