About the author

Prof. Dr. Frank Sommer, geb. 1967, ist im Universitätsklinikum Hamburg-Eppendorf als weltweit erster Universitätsprofessor für Männergesundheit tätig. Er arbeitet dort als Urologe, Androloge und Sportmediziner und beschäftigt sich schon seit vielen Jahren mit der Lehre und Forschung männlicher Sexualstörungen. Für seine Arbeiten auf diesem Gebiet erhielt er zahlreiche nationale und internationale Auszeichnungen. Dr. Sommer ist im Vorstand bzw. Beirat verschiedener wissenschaftlicher Gesellschaften tätig und seit Dezember 2005 Präsident der Deutschen Gesellschaft für Mann und Gesundheit. Autor zahlreicher Publikationen zum Thema Männergesundheit, dazu viele Auftritte im TV.
