Informationen zum Autor N. D. G. James is the author of The Forester's Companion (Fourth edition, 1989) and of A History of English Forestry (1990). N. D. G. James was Land Agent to the Oxford University Chest and Fellow of Brasenose College, Oxford from 1951 to 1961. From then until his retirement in 1976 he was Agent to Lord Clinton. He has also served as President of the Land Agents Society, and President of the Royal Forestry Society of England, Wales and Northern Ireland, as well as on numerous forestry committees. He was awarded the OBE in 1964 and the Society's Gold Medal for Distinguished Service to Forestry in 1967. He is the author of an impressive list of books on forestry.
